One of ecopod’s mottos is to “partner with great people and great companies to raise worldwide eco-consciousness." BMW Designworks is an excellent partner to help us realize our vision.  BMW Designworks’ talents allow users to touch, feel and use the ecopod.  Once users experience the sweet sound of compaction via the ecopod, they will more than likely always recycle.

To get people to use the ecopod.  Dr Nash taught us at UCSB that, “Pop Culture drives society”; hence our quest to connect with the music and lifestyle of Jack Johnson

Jack & his wife, Kim, are fellow UCSB alumni and have been supporting environmental causes for a majority of their lives.  Jack, growing up on Hawaii’s North Shore in front of the world famous Pipeline, is a respected Waterman & Environmental Citizen.  Jack’s films on the lifestyle of ocean living, along with his musical success, have catapulted the environment into today’s Pop Culture mindset.

Jack’s current album features the song “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” that he often performs with his hometown schools. The growing awareness of today’s youth on their impact on the environment is spreading to their parents and grandparents. Our common missions are summed up in the recent Newsweek Magazine, “The New Greening of America.”

ecopod is proud of our affiliation with Jack Johnson’s Kokua Hawaii Foundation that provides educational outreach to Hawaii’s school kids.  In April 2007, ecopod will again be supporting the Kokua Festival in Hawaii and we look forward to spreading the message of “Kokua” around the globe.

Next we needed a Retail partner to help launch our products in America. We had one clear first choice:  Williams-Sonoma. next >
